Leadership consulting for teams that are done with vague advice

We work with senior leaders across Northern Ireland and the UK who need to change how their teams decide, disagree, and deliver. Not a motivational talk. A structured intervention that sticks.

How we work

Four phases, typically twelve weeks, always tailored to your situation

Diagnosis

We interview each member of your senior team individually. These are confidential, 45-minute conversations that surface the real friction points, not just the ones people mention in group settings. We also review recent board papers, engagement data, and any 360-degree feedback you already have.

Design

From the diagnosis we build a working hypothesis: here is what is stuck, here is why, and here is what we think will shift it. You see this document before any workshop happens. If you disagree with our reading, we adjust it together.

Intervention

Two to four facilitated sessions with the full team, spaced two weeks apart. Each session tackles a specific decision pattern, conflict habit, or accountability gap. We use live business issues as material, not hypothetical case studies.

Embed

Six weeks after the final session, we come back. We check which new behaviours held and which slipped. You get a short written report with three concrete recommendations for the next quarter. That is the handover.

What we do

Focused interventions, not sprawling programmes

Executive one-to-one coaching

Six sessions over three months with a single leader. We focus on the decisions they are avoiding, the feedback they are not giving, and the patterns they keep repeating. Each session is 75 minutes. Between sessions, we set one specific experiment for them to run with their team.

Senior team alignment

The flagship engagement described in our process section. Best suited for leadership teams of five to ten people who know they need to work differently but cannot seem to get there on their own. We have run this with NHS trusts, mid-size manufacturers, and professional services firms.

Post-merger leadership integration

When two organisations merge, the leadership teams rarely blend on their own. We facilitate the first 100 days: who leads what, how decisions get escalated, and where the old loyalties are creating drag. Typically five sessions over ten weeks.

Board effectiveness reviews

An independent review of how your board operates: meeting cadence, information flow, the quality of challenge between non-executives and executives. We deliver a written report with prioritised recommendations, followed by a half-day facilitated discussion with the full board.

Who we are

Small team, deep experience

Leadership Impact Consultants was founded in 2019 by a former operations director who spent fifteen years inside organisations before moving to consulting. We are a team of three, based in Northern Ireland, and we deliberately stay small. That means every engagement is led by a senior consultant, not delegated to a junior associate after the pitch.

Our backgrounds span healthcare operations, financial services, and public sector reform. We trained in systemic team coaching, adaptive leadership, and organisational psychodynamics. We are not motivational speakers. We are practitioners who have sat in the seats our clients occupy.

Common questions

Things prospective clients usually ask us

A twelve-week senior team alignment programme ranges from £12,000 to £22,000 depending on team size and travel requirements. Executive coaching is priced per session at £450. We quote a fixed fee after the initial conversation so there are no surprises.
Yes. About a third of our clients are in England or Scotland. We travel for facilitated sessions and run coaching sessions by video when that works better for the participant. Travel costs within the UK are included in our fixed fee.
That is common and honestly a reasonable instinct. The diagnostic interviews help because every team member gets to shape the agenda before any group work begins. We also share our working hypothesis in writing, so people can challenge our assumptions before they walk into a room with us.
We prefer it. Internal teams have context we will never match. We usually agree a clear split: we lead the facilitated sessions, the internal team owns the follow-through and measurement. We brief them fully after each session so nothing gets lost.
At the start we agree two or three observable indicators with you: for example, the average time from proposal to board decision, the number of escalations reaching the CEO per month, or specific feedback scores. We re-measure these at the embed stage and include the comparison in our final report.

Start with a conversation

No pitch deck, no obligation. Tell us what is going on with your team and we will tell you honestly whether we think we can help. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
